Oak Brook Baptist is a private religious organization that provides home school services to parents that are educating their children in a home environment. Our services include helping parents with:
• Organization of home school curriculum
• Record keeping of home school studies
• Registering children for standardized testing
• Transcription of home school records based on parent certification of coursework complete
• College preparation

The curriculum must include the five basic subjects of reading, spelling, grammar, mathematics, and good citizenship.
State Requirements
Texas State Law Requirements Regarding Home Schooling
• To home school legally in Texas, you must follow three state law requirements:
• The instruction must be bona fide (i.e., not a sham).
•The curriculum must be in visual form (e.g., books, workbooks, video monitor).
Financial Aid Policy
Community Colleges have adopted a new policy, as of August 2015, that may or may not award financial aid to home school graduates. This policy is only geared toward students that have been home schooled using third- party programs. Although our third- party home school program has been officially closed since August 2012, it may be retroactive. Review House Bill 1449 and the FAFSA handbook which clearly states that homeschooled graduates are qualified to receive financial aid.
